Concerns about a roofer. The roofer who receives your request is an independent business, and we can't settle disputes over its work, pricing or contract. Start by raising the problem with the roofer in writing and keep copies of everything. If that doesn't resolve it, you can file a complaint with the Iowa Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division at 888-777-4590.

Insurance questions. For questions about your policy, a claim or how an insurer treated you, contact the Iowa Insurance Division at 877-955-1212.

Checking a contractor. To find out whether a roofer holds an Iowa contractor registration, call the state's registration line at 515-242-5871.
